Jason Witten Officially Retires
7 years agoDallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten has officially retired from the NFL. His 15-year career comes to an end, as he will join ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast starting this season. Witten had been weighing his options over the past few weeks, deciding between playing another season or trading in his cleats for a suit and a microphone. Witten ends his career fourth all time in receptions. He made 11 Pro Bowls, and it would seem like his next step would be toward Canton. With Witten and Dez Bryant gone in Dallas, they are seriously hurting for pass catchers, and rookie receiver Michael Gallup has a serious opportunity to make noise in his rookie season behind Allen Hurns.
