Giancarlo Stanton Carries Yankees Offense In Win
7 years agoThe New York Yankees faced off against the Houston Astros once again on Wednesday night with familiar foe Dallas Keuchel on the mound. Entering the game, the Bronx Bombers had never homered off the former Cy Young winner, but that changed early on. Struggling outfielder Giancarlo Stanton delivered a two-run home run in the opening frame, setting the tone for a terrific night for the Yankees. In the fourth inning, he delivered his second dinger of the game, increasing the lead to three. Stanton’s last act came in the eighth, as his RBI ground-rule double recorded the fourth and final run of the game. The Yankees shut out the Astros for the second night in a row, 4-0.
