Earl Thomas' Price Tag Is High
7 years agoAccording to a source, as of "a couple of days ago or so," the Seattle Seahawks' asking price for safety Earl Thomas was too much. The Cowboys have been the main suitor for Thomas, and it was reported earlier Friday that they'd have to blow the Seahawks away with an offer to get something done this weekend. It makes sense for Seattle to ask for a lot because even though Thomas will be 29 this year, he's still one of the more effective defensive backs in the game as the quarterback of their defense. His presence in Seattle is even more important now that cornerback Richard Sherman is gone. Seattle may keep Thomas for one more year in the final year of his contract.
