Tyler Austin Smacks Home Run In Victory
7 years agoStill having not served his suspension from an altercation in Boston against Joe Kelly of the Red Sox, New York Yankees first baseman Tyler Austin continues to see consistent starts. Promoted to the major leagues as a result of Greg Bird’s injury, the 26-year-old is hitting .296 through 16 games this season. On Wednesday night, with the Yankees taking on the Minnesota Twins once again, he drilled a three-run home run to left, capping off a four-run third inning that put his club ahead for good. Over his last seven games, Austin is hitting .370, as the Yankees ride a five-game winning streak.
