Tyson Ross Stumbles In Colorado
7 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Tyson Ross took a loss Wednesday, allowing four earned runs in four innings pitched against the Colorado Rockies. There was some waiver frenzy on Ross after two consecutive great starts, but he didn't have it Wednesday. Ross allowed six hits and three walks but managed to fan seven batters. For the season, he now owns a 3.64 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 9.4 K/9. This year's resurgence is encouraging, but fantasy owners should evaluate Ross on a start-to-start basis. He is an appealing streamer at home, where he owns a career 2.78 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 268 2/3 innings at Petco Park.
