7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies All-Star reliever Pat Neshek, who has been out since last month with a right shoulder strain, will toss a bullpen session on Friday as he inches closer towards a return to the mound. The veteran, who was traded out of Philadelphia last season before signing a new deal to return, was arguably the club’s best pitcher last season, posting a 1.12 ERA in 40 innings of work. At the trade deadline, the Phillies traded him to the Colorado Rockies, who were making a run for a playoff berth. In the offseason, however, Neshek opted to return. Once he returns, he will become a major member of this bullpen.--RDelgado
