Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski Both Expected To Play In 2018
7 years agoBoth New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski are expected to play in 2018, according to a source with knowledge of the situations. Both players have been rumored to be considering retirement, although the Brady news has always seemed like a non-story. Gronk and Brady aren't taking part in voluntary offseason workouts in order to spend more time with family and rest their bodies. It's also possible that Gronkowski is looking for more than the $8 million he'll make this year. There's also the question of how upset Brady and Gronk are about the way head coach Bill Belichick handled cornerback Malcolm Butler's benching in the Super Bowl. Expect offseason tensions to blow over as soon as the two report to training camp this summer. As long as they are healthy, both Brady and Gronk are elite fantasy options at their respective positions.
