Mike Tauchman Demoted To Triple-A
7 years agoThe Colorado Rockies made a flurry of moves on Sunday morning, and one of those was demoting underperforming outfielder Mike Tauchman to Triple-A Albuquerque. Tauchman had a red-hot spring training that led to him being the chosen prospect to be the fourth outfielder for the big-league club, but after an atrocious start to the season in which he only got one hit in his first 27 plate appearances, he's headed back down to the minors. Colorado has a host of outfield prospects that may or may not be worthy of a major league roster spot, so Tauchman likely won't be back anytime soon unless he absolutely demolishes Triple-A pitching.
