7 years agoTampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov will not face punishment from the league following his controversial hit on New Jersey Devils defenseman Sami Vatanen during Game 4. According to the Department of Player Safety, the primary point of contact for the hit was not Vatanen's head, which is why Kucherov will avoid discipline. Coming off of his strongest game of the series, scoring two goals and an assist, Kucherov and the Lightning will look to close out the series on Saturday.
