Giancarlo Stanton Could Be Dropped In Order
7 years agoAs his struggles persist nearly a month into this 2018 regular season, New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton could be dropped in the lineup. Manager Aaron Boone expressed the possibility of the move after Tuesday’s disappointing 9-1 defeat in the Bronx to the lowly Miami Marlins. The reigning National League MVP went hitless in four plate appearances, striking out two more times. Presently, he’s batting .197 with three home runs and 10 RBI, leading the major leagues in strikeouts. Boone said it may possibly happen during this upcoming series against the Blue Jays, although he specified the drop wouldn’t be significant.
