Khalil Mack Won't Come Cheap
7 years agoThe Oakland Raiders remain confident that they will reach a long-term extension with defensive end Khalil Mack, and a new deal could be around $120 million over six years. NFL Network's Steve Wyche reported that a deal could include $65 million in guaranteed money. Mack's fifth-year option accounts for $13.86 million against this year's salary cap, and most, if not all, of his new money could come next year. His 2018 cap number could decrease with a big signing bonus and a lower base salary. The 27-year-old is a beast edge rusher and one of the best in the NFL, as he has recorded 40.5 sacks so far in four years in the NFL.
