Broncos Releasing C.J. Anderson
7 years agoThe Denver Broncos plan to release running back C.J. Anderson on Monday, according to ESPN and multiple reports. Anderson had his first career 1,000-yard season in 2017 and was the team's leading rusher last year. With Anderson out of the picture, Devontae Booker and De'Angelo Henderson should be expected to split up the workload in the backfield in 2018, but Denver is also expected to address the position in a loaded draft class. The Broncos won't be charged any dead money against the salary cap by releasing Anderson. Even without a big-name rookie in the mix in 2018, Booker and Henderson could make for a frustrating committee backfield for fantasy owners behind what was a very shaky offensive line the last several seasons.
