7 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Alex Gordon (hip) has been placed on the 10-day disabled list due to a left labral tear in his hip. The injury is expected to only sideline Gordon for a couple of weeks, but players often struggle to regain their hitting form after coming back from hip injuries. The good news is that Gordon has been bad for the last year and a half, so his hitting form won't be very hard to re-acclaim. The bad news is that he'll still probably be bad, so he shouldn't be owned anywhere anyway. Gordon will be supplanted by Abraham Almonte, a career journeyman with no real fantasy appeal either.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
