Dwight Powell Ends Double-Double Drought On Sunday
7 years agoDallas Mavericks forward/center Dwight Powell posted a 13-point, 10-rebound double-double in 35 minutes on Sunday against the Sixers to end a lengthy streak without one. He had gotten his last double-double on March 10 against Memphis. Powell was flirting with double-doubles regularly in February and at the start of last month, but the wheels suddenly came off. He's now got five double-doubles for the season and could be on the hunt for another one on Tuesday against Pheonix in a favorable matchup, but only if he gets enough minutes, which is far from guaranteed, as Rick Carlisle's rotation has been a mess all season long.
