Ronald Torreyes Picks Up Three Hits In Victory
7 years agoAs a result of injuries and a marathon game last night, the New York Yankees gave infielder Ronald Torreyes a start at second base this afternoon against the Baltimore Orioles. The Venezuelan native, who also played last night after Brandon Drury was pulled, batted ninth. He led the team with three hits on the afternoon, coming around to score two runs. The 25-year-old once again displayed his value for the Bronx Bombers, as he provides great stability in the infield while keeping injuries suffered at a minimum. Presently, he’s hitting .364 and should continue to see playing time while Brandon Drury remains out.
