7 years agoWashington Nationals reliever Enny Romero was designated for assignment by the ball club on Saturday. The team now has to put him through waivers over the next seven days or trade him within ten. The move likely means that the lefty's tenure with the Nats is over as he is unlikely to pass through waivers unclaimed. Despite a nice 2017 season that saw him pitch an ERA of 3.56 over 57 appearances, he's given up three earned runs in two innings this year and the Nationals have plenty of left-handed bullpen options.--Mario Hernandez - RotoBaller
