7 years agoPortland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum had a tough night on Thursday against the Rockets, finishing with only 16 points, but that was still good enough to lead the team in scoring. Damian Lillard (ankle) was out, so McCollum got a lot more touches and while he killed it the last time he was the No. 1 option, scoring 42 points against Memphis on March 28, things were far from that pretty this time around. McCollum shot just 7-for-25 from the floor, missing seven of nine attempts from deep. He also had six turnovers in 33 minutes and a team-worst minus-21 rating. Lillard plans to return on Saturday against the Spurs, so McCollum's role on offense will diminish considerably.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
