Jason Groome Starts Season On DL
7 years agoBoston Red Sox pitching prospect Jason Groome (elbow) will start his second consecutive season on the disabled list, according to Alex Speier of The Boston Globe. Groome has a mild flexor strain, which is the same injury that ended his season in August last year. Groome was drafted 12th overall in the 2016 draft and started the 2017 season on the DL with an intercostal strain. The Red Sox are just being cautious and Groome should be ready to pitch in a couple weeks in Greenville.
