Aaron Hicks Poised To Return On Time
7 years agoThe New York Yankees remain optimistic that outfielder Aaron Hicks (intercostal) will return from the disabled list as soon as he’s eligible. The 28-year-old suffered a strained right intercostal muscle on opening day in a victory against the Blue Jays and was placed on the DL afterwards. His replacement, Billy McKinney, also landed on the DL, leaving the Yankees with a depleted outfield. Hicks, however, seems to have suffered a minor injury and was scheduled to take 80 swings Wednesday. It appears he’ll be ready to return in time for the Yankees series in Boston against the Red Sox next week.
