Aaron Hicks Now Pain-Free
7 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (intercostal), who has been on the disabled list since the day after opening day, is close to returning. The 28-year-old, who suffered a strain in his right intercostal muscle, is now free of any pain. On Tuesday, he was scheduled to hit off the tee and do some throwing, as the Yankees played their home opener. Hicks won the starting center field job for the club and played in the club’s first game of the season last Thursday, but he was announced to be injured afterwards. Since then, his replacement, Billy McKinney, has also gone down with an injury, leaving the team with just three full-time outfielders on the roster.
