Miguel Andujar In Sunday’s Starting Lineup
7 years agoThe day after New York Yankees outfielder Billy McKinney’s injury and subsequent disabled list stint led to his promotion, third baseman Miguel Andujar will make his season debut in the series finale against the Blue Jays. The 23-year-old will play as Sunday’s designated hitter, batting seventh at the Rogers Centre. Andujar saw major league action in five games last season, hitting .571 with a pair of doubles and four RBI. His spring training was an impressive one, as he hit .267 with four home runs and 10 RBI, appearing to be the early favorite for the starting job at third base. Brandon Drury’s arrival, however, effectively ended those chances.
