Aaron Altherr Wraps Up Spring On High Note
7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Aaron Altherr will head into the new season Thursday on a high note following a pleasing spring training. The 27-year-old hit .303 with four home runs and 11 RBI through 66 plate appearances. Altherr is envisioned as one of Philadelphia’s four outfielders alongside Nick Williams, Odubel Herrera and Rhys Hoskins. According to manager Gabe Kapler, each of the outfielders will get in 145 games. This creates a golden chance for Altherr to build upon his promising 2017 season that finally seemed to right his ship. Look for Altherr to get a nod Thursday in Atlanta, with Williams likely sitting the first game out.
