Albert Pujols Blasts First Spring Home Run
7 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman/designated hitter Albert Pujols hit his first home run of the spring on Friday. The 37-year-old slugger is now 11-for-42 this spring, and seems to be finding his power stroke just in time for the season to begin. Pujols had the worst season of his career last year, but still managed to hit 23 home runs and drive in 101. He still holds value in standard fantasy formats as a late-round draft pick. He is DH-only for now, but may get 1B eligibility later in the season if his foot holds up. Don't draft Pujols expecting his previous production, but he is still worth a late-round flyer.
