Drew Pomeranz Looked Good In Minor League Game
7 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz (forearm), as scheduled, pitched in a controlled minor league game against nine batters, according to Chris Mason of the Eagle Tribune. He allowed two earned runs on three hits with one strikeout and one walk. Pomeranz threw 48 pitches, 27 of which were strikes. After the outing, Pomeranz stated he was feeling good. According to Christopher Smith of MassLive.com, Pomeranz stated, "That's about as good as I could have hoped for today. It's the first time I've thrown out of the stretch in a few weeks. But I've been working on a lot of stuff mechanically, just keeping it clean. Wasn't out there trying to burn it out." Pomeranz is working his way back to the starter that won 17 games in 2017 with a 3.32 ERA and 174 strikeouts.
