7 years agoUpdating a previous reports, Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Jharel Cotton (elbow) sought a second opinion on his strained UCL and flexor tendon, and the result is that he will have Tommy John surgery, according to Jane Lee of MLB.com. Cotton will miss all of the 2018 season, as the normal recovery time from this procedure is 12 months.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
