Mike Davis, Thomas Rawls Hit Open Market, J.D. McKissic Given Tender
7 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks did not tender running backs Mike Davis and Thomas Rawls, making them unrestricted free agents. However, they did give a qualifying offer to exclusive-rights free-agent running back J.D. McKissic. Rawls had plenty of potential in Seattle, but he was never the same after he suffered a broken ankle late in the 2015 season. Davis led the team's backs with 240 rushing yards in 2017, but it's not saying much when quarterback Russell Wilson was the leading rusher with 586 rushing yards. It's believed the team will try to re-sign Davis, but they'll also surely bring in more help from outside the organization to help bolster what was one of the worst ground games in the NFL last year.
