7 years agoTampa Bay Rays infielder Brad Miller (toe) will miss another four to five days before he's able to play in a game, but his availability for Opening Day shouldn't be impacted, according to manager Kevin Cash. The left-handed hitter slugged a whopping 30 home runs in 2016 but fell back to earth dramatically in 2017, hitting just nine round-trippers in 110 games. Injuries slowed him down last year, and it's not a good sign that he's hurt again this spring. His 30-homer campaign in 2016 is likely an outlier, so don't expect much in 2018.
