Jets Working On Deal For Teddy Bridgewater
7 years agoThe New York Jets are working on a deal for free-agent quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, according to a source. The Jets aren't Bridgewater's only option, but he is the Jets first choice of what's left on the market. Kirk Cousins looks set to sign with Minnesota, and Case Keenum has already signed with Denver, so the Jets are focusing on Bridgewater, although they could also choose to re-sign veteran Josh McCown. Bridgewater suffered a gruesome knee injury before the 2016 season and has only played in one game since 2015, but he could still have upside left if he's fully healthy. Trusting him as anything more than a midrange QB2 in New York, however, would be foolish.
