Detroit Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard was spotted in the starter's net at practice Monday, making it almost certain he will start in tonight's game. The Red Wings have lost six straight games leading up to their trip to San Jose, and Howard appeared between the pipes in five of those. In that stretch, Howard posted an .897 save percentage, which falls well below the .911 save percentage he has for the season. Expect Howard's save statistics to bounce back at some point, but the wins are still likely to be few and far between. Avoid Howard on Monday if you can, but if you are desperate for saves, the Sharks are 10th best in the league, averaging 32.9 shots per game, so Howard should be active.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
