49ers Reach Agreement With Richard Sherman
7 years agoUpdating a previous report, the San Francisco 49ers and free-agent cornerback Richard Sherman have agreed to a three-year deal Saturday, according to sources. Sherman visited with the Niners on Saturday, and they didn't let him get away. The two sides appear to be a perfect fit, as Sherman went to nearby Stanford in college and will now get to face his former team, the Seahawks, twice a year. While he's aging and is coming off two Achilles surgeries, Sherman remains one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. He will surely help upgrade the rebuilding Niners secondary.
