Jarvis Landry Could Play Under Franchise Tag
7 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry and his new team have not included a long-term extension as part of the trade, and he could play out the 2018 season on the one-year franchise tag. The two sides will likely discuss an extension, but it's not a guarantee it will happen. Landry could choose to play out 2018 on the one-year deal and see how he fits in with his new offense. Landry set a career high in touchdowns last year while leading the NFL in receptions, but it remains to be seen how he'll fit in Cleveland. At worst, quarterback Tyrod Taylor will be throwing him passes, which isn't a bad thing, but Cleveland also has Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman in the passing game. Landry should still be seen as a WR1 in PPR leagues as of now, but his production could obviously suffer.
