Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews buried a cross-crease feed from Patrick Kane in overtime to give his team the two full points against the Avalanche on Tuesday. The goal capped off a strong fantasy night for Toews, as he also added an assist, a plus-two rating, two penalty minutes and five shots on goal in the game. The multi-point performance brought his season point total up to 45 (18 goals and 27 assists) in 67 games. While Toews' fantasy value will never match the on-ice value he provides to the Blackhawks, the three-time Stanley Cup champion can still serve as a quality depth player down the stretch for fantasy owners. In fact, Toews could be especially useful for the remainder of this week. Toews and the Blackhawks will play three more games this week, hosting the Hurricanes on Thursday and closing out the weekend with a home-and-home set with Boston.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller

Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews (illness) has received the green light to return to action Saturday against New Jersey. He hasn't played since Jan. 28, trying to overcome the effects of long COVID-19 and chronic immune response syndrome. Toews played in 46 games this season before dropping out of the lineup, scoring 14 goals and picking up 14 assists. The 34-year-old has been a shadow of his former self in recent seasons and Saturday's contest could be one of the final games of his career, as it's unclear if Toews will carry on playing next season. He will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews (illness) released a statement on Sunday saying that he is dealing with symptoms of long COVID-19 and chronic immune response syndrome. He has missed seven of the team's last eight games and now we know why. Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson is hopeful of getting Toews back before the end of the season, but it's unclear when that might happen. One thing is certain though, Toews and the team have decided together that he won't be traded before the March 3 deadline. The 34-year-old has tallied 14 goals and 14 assists in 46 games this season and is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews (illness) will miss a second consecutive game Friday versus Arizona and won't be available for Saturday's clash with Winnipeg either. The Blackhawks captain has been struck down by a non-COVID illness and it's currently unclear when he will be ready to play again. There are some hopes of him possibly being back Tuesday when the team continues its road trip through Canada in Montreal. Toews' health issue has lifted Jason Dickinson to the top six, and he's quietly put together a three-game goal streak.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews (illness) is expected to miss Tuesday's clash with the Ducks. The Blackhawks captain has fallen sick over the All-Star break, missing back-to-back practices on Sunday and Monday. The veteran centerman sits on 14 goals and 28 points through 46 games. 10 of his points came in the first 13 games of the season when it looked like Toews was ready to produce a solid bounce-back campaign, but the team has struggled all year and thus Toews hasn't managed to make a big impact in fantasy hockey.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
