Dennis Smith Jr. Matches Career-High 11 Assists
7 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. has finally started to shoot the ball at a decent rate and he's also enjoyed passing the rock in recent games, especially against Denver on Tuesday, as he matched his career high with 11 assists. He finished with 18 points on 7-for-16 shooting, making two of his six attempts from deep. It's taken a while, but it looks like Smith is finally rolling this month, as he's made 45.5 percent of his shots to average 22 points, 7.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds. He also has a steal in every game and has committed just one turnover in two of the three outings.
