James Reimer Fends Off The Sabres In Home Win
7 years agoFlorida Panthers goaltender James Reimer stopped 24 of 25 shots Friday night in Florida’s 4-1 victory over the Sabres. The win marks the Panthers’ fifth straight and Reimer’s 16th of the season. While Florida's second unit's play has been inconsistent lately behind Roberto Luongo, the Panthers will turn to the backup consistently down the stretch, as they have four back-to-back games in the last three weeks of the regular season, including two in the final week. Reimer now carries a 3.16 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage this season and could be a sneaky play if Florida remains hot.
