Adam Gase Endorses Ryan Tannehill As Starter
7 years agoMiami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill will be the team's starter under center in 2018, according to head coach Adam Gase. "Ryan is going to be our starting quarterback, and I don't see that changing anytime soon," Gase said at the scouting combine. "I think that when we get back out there in spring and get going, I just know it's going to be really good to have him back." This comes amid speculation that the Dolphins might take a quarterback with the 11th overall pick in the draft or trade up to get one. Gase said Tannehill would embrace the competition if Miami takes a QB in the draft. Because of major knee injuries, Tannehill hasn't played since December of 2016. He was much more efficient in 2016 but put up weak numbers for fantasy owners, and he'd be even less attractive this year with wide receiver Jarvis Landry potentially being traded.
