Texans Expect D'Onta Foreman To Be Ready
7 years agoHouston Texans running back D'Onta Foreman (Achilles) is expected to be ready for Week 1 in 2018 after suffering a season-ending Achilles injury on Nov. 19 in his rookie season. “I won’t speak specific to injuries but I’m fairly optimistic that the answer would be yes,” Texans general manager Brian Gaine said Wednesday at the NFL Combine. When healthy last year, though, Foreman impressed with 327 yards rushing on 78 attempts and two touchdowns, and he also added six catches for 83 yards. Lamar Miller struggled in the lead-back role in 2017 and could see his role reduced with Foreman rising in this backfield. Foreman will be a breakout candidate as a low-end RB2/high-end RB3 pick.
