Boston Celtics forward/center Daniel Theis (hamstring) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets. Greg Monroe is expected to get back into the rotation with Theis sidelined. However, that should not mean too much with Aron Baynes and Al Horford ahead of him on the depth chart. The hamstring issue does not seem too serious, since Theis was listed as probable beforehand. The Celtics are off after Wednesday until Saturday, so Theis will have plenty of time to rest up. Monroe should see some extra minutes with Theis out.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Daniel Theis (thumb) will not face his former friends in green on Friday, as he has been ruled out for a matchup against the Boston Celtics. It's not a surprise that Theis isn't available, as he was listed as doubtful on the initial injury report. Starting center Yves Missi might have to do a bit more on Friday with Theis out, with Karlo Matkovic and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl logging time as his backups. Missi has had a good rookie campaign, but he currently finds himself in an offensive slump, having gone scoreless in back-to-back games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

New Orleans Pelicans center Daniel Theis (thumb) is considered doubtful on Friday against the Boston Celtics with a thumb sprain. The veteran big man picked up the injury in their last game against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. If he does get downgraded to out, Yves Missi should be in line for some big minutes at center. Zion Williamson also will spend some time at the five in small-ball lineups while Jeremiah Robinson-Earl will get more opportunities. Missi is the best streaming option after registering seven rebounds, one assist, and four blocks in their last contest. He's not recommended for managers that may need scoring stats though.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

New Orleans Pelicans center Daniel Theis (ankle) is on track to play Friday against the Indiana Pacers, according to head coach Willie Green. The 32-year-old exited early in Wednesday's loss to Golden State with a right ankle issue, but it appears he'll be able to suit up without any missed time. Over his first five games of the season, Theis has averaged 4.0 points and 4.4 rebounds as a reliable role player. Expect him to resume his usual role barring any last-minute setbacks.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBaller

New Orleans Pelicans center Daniel Theis suffered an ankle injury in Wednesday's game against Golden State. He had soaked in just five minutes of action before hurting his right ankle. The German big man finished the contest scoreless while recording three rebounds. Theis has kicked off the year as New Orleans' starting center, averaging 4.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 16.0 minutes. Yves Missi will be in line for more playing time if Theis has to miss additional time, although the rookie himself battled a hip problem on Wednesday. With two bigs limited by health issues, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl logged a season-high 23 minutes. He had nine points with five rebounds and three assists. Robinson-Earl could be a speculative add for fantasy managers if Missi joins Theis on the sidelines.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
