Yasmany Tomas Cleared For Workouts
7 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Yasmany Tomas (hernia) has been cleared for workouts in camp by the team's medical staff after a pair of core muscle/sports hernia surgeries last year, according to manager Torey Lovullo. Tomas likely was never fully healthy in 2017, and his season officially ended in July, as he finished with a .241 average, eight home runs and 32 RBI in just 47 games. Tomas is still just one year removed from a 31-homer campaign and he should be the team's starting left fielder if healthy, meaning there is plenty of value potential for the slugging outfielder in drafts. He'll likely need to improve on his defense, though, in order to be a mainstay in the 2018 lineup.
