Starlin Castro Looks To Replicate 2017 Success In 2018
7 years agoIf Starlin Castro is with the Miami Marlins on Opening Day, he will no doubt be a core piece of their offense. The shortstop finished 2017 with a .300 average to go with 16 homers and 63 RBI in just 112 games for the New York Yankees. Last season, his .300./.338/.454 slash line was one of the best he's had since joining the big leagues in 2010. If he can stay healthy, there's no reason Castro shouldn't finish with a similar slash line and at least 20 dingers in 2018. An unhappy Castro has already asked to be traded, according to multiple sources, so time will tell if he will bring that productivity to Miami once the season starts. Regardless of where he plays, Castro should put up strong numbers this year.
