Dennis Smith Jr. Goes For 17 Points In The First Half, 21 In Regulation
7 years agoDallas Mavericks point guard Dennis Smith Jr. started off strong but significantly cooled off in the second half of the Saturday afternoon game against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers started to pressure him and lock him down near the end of the game, but the performance is still promising for his owners given the statistical stinginess of the Lakers defense. Unfortunately, the Dallas Mavericks lost to the Lakers in overtime and Smith was unable to improve on his first-half explosion. He finished with a team-high 23 points and a few assists, so expect Smith to continue his streaky play, although his upside remains high due to his ability to score in bunches.
