Spencer Dinwiddie Balls Out In Disappointing Loss
7 years agoBrooklyn Nets point guard Spencer Dinwiddie attempted to put his team on his back against the Raptors but came up short in the closing moments of overtime. Dinwiddie dropped a season-high 31 points in this one on 10-for-24 shooting while hitting all but one of his nine free throw attempts. Dinwiddie looked like an elite player on Monday, getting it done all over the court with five rebounds and eight assists in his team-high 41 minutes. He was playing some great defense as well, snatching two steals from the Raptors. Dinwiddie has been great in the absence of guard D'Angelo Russell (knee), and one would have to assume he's earned himself a secure role even when D-Lo returns.
