As is the case most Sundays, we have a small slate. There are four games tonight, which is the main slate for DraftKings. That means those are the games that this article is going to focus on.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/7/18. I play both cash and GPP, so I will be looking for both players who have consistency, along with value plays that have upside from a favorable match up, or other factors.
If you have any questions or comments, let me know @BalesSJustin on Twitter. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too. Let's get to it.
DraftKings DFS Guards
Russell Westbrook - PG, at PHX ($11,900)
It's tough to avoid Westbrook at this point, especially on a small slate. He has been playing at an elite level recently, averaging 31.4 points, 11.0 rebounds, 11.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game over the last 10 days. He has also scored 60+ fantasy points in eight of his last 10 games, while scoring 70+ fantasy points in two of those games. He gets an elite matchup against the Phoenix Suns, who love pushing the pace and have struggled defensively this season. Westbrook can be used in all leagues.
Jarrett Jack - PG, at DAL ($4,200)
Jack has struggled at times this season, but he is averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game over the last 10 days. He comes with a low price tag, and he has scored at least 26 fantasy points in three of his last six games. He gets a good matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, who rank 17th in the NBA against point guards. Jack is averaging 28.1 minutes per game over his last six games, and he makes a great option on the small slate tonight.
DraftKings DFS Forwards
T.J. Warren - SF/PF, vs OKC ($6,200)
Warren missed the Suns last game with an illness, and he is currently questionable for tonight. Keep an eye on his injury status before the game. He has been on fire recently, though, averaging 23.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.0 steal per game over the last 10 days. Warren is also averaging nearly 3.0 more minutes per game at home this season. He gets a matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who have played well against the small forward, but Warren has hit value in eight of his last nine games. He is a great option tonight.
Courtney Lee - SG/SF, at DAL ($4,900)
Lee isn't necessarily a focal point of the Knicks offense, but he is averaging 35.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has been on fire over that span, averaging 14.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He still comes with an extremely low price tag, and he gets a great matchup against the Dallas Mavericks, who have struggled defensively for the majority of the season. Lee is a cheap option that makes a good play in both cash games and tournaments.
DraftKings DFS Centers
Marquese Chriss - PF/C, vs OKC ($5,400)
Chriss' price tag continues to be one of the most confusing on a nightly basis. Over the last 10 days, he is averaging 12.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 1.8 steals per game. He has also scored 26+ fantasy points in each of his last six games, including a few tough matchups against teams including the San Antonio Spurs. Tonight, he gets a much better matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who have struggled defensively at times this season. Chriss has been a consistent option, who is locked into solid minutes. He also comes with tremendous upside, and he can be used in all leagues.
