We have a nice 7 game slate tonight , and there are fantastic options all across the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters.
Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 12/28/17. DFS Forwards to Consider
Patrick Kane - W, CHI @ VAN (DK - $7,500, FD - $8,500)
Kane is on the second forward line and the first power-play unit, and is up against the Canucks who are giving up over three goals per game. Kane has eight points in his last six games, and is taking nearly 3.5 shots per game. He has a great floor of points, so he is a great cash game option. The Blackhawks have the second highest expected corsi for sitting at 48, which means he wil have plenty of chances on net against a weak defensive opponent.
William Nylander - W/C, TOR @ ARI (DK - $5,200, FD - $5,500)
Nylander is a center on FanDuel and a winger on DraftKings, so you have to keep an eye on where you roster him. He is on the first forward line and the second power-play unit, which puts him in a great spot, considering he is up against the Coyotes, who are giving up over three goals per game. The Maple Leafs are looking like one of the chalkier options on the slate tonight since they are up against such a weak defensive team. He should be good to be used solo in cash games, or a power-play stack for GPPs.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Jeff Petry - D, MON @ TB (DK - $4,300, FD - $3,900)
Petry makes a great cheaper option tonight, considering he will be seeing a ton of ice time. With Shea Weber being out for the Canadiens, Petry is in a spot to have an increased role. He is now on the first defensive pairing and the top power-play unit. For a player that is this cheap, he is looking like one of the lock and load options tonight. He will be out there against the Tampa Bay top line, so plenty of chances for blocked shots.
Keith Yandle - D, FLA vs PHI (DK - $4,700, FD - $4,900)
Yandle is seeing time on the top defensive pairing and the top power-play unit, so he potential for points is high. He has 21 points in 36 games this season, and taking over two shots per game. He has assists in two straight games, and is blocking over one shot per game. Yandle can provide DFS value in more than one way, so a good option in any format.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Jonathan Quick - G, LA vs VGK (DK - $7,800, FD - $9,100)
Quick seems a bit too cheap on DraftKings tonight, considering he is coming off of full rest and this Vegas team he is up against played last night. He has only allowed four goals in his last three games, which is great and can help him pick up the win. He has a good defense in front of him, but still sees about 30 shots a game, so plenty of time to rack up points. Like him a bit better on DK compared to FD, but just because of his price.
