With the fantasy trade deadline looming, or in some leagues already passed, the waiver wire will soon be your only place to scoop up last minute fantasy pieces. Throw in the conclusion of bye weeks and most owners have their rosters set in stone. That being said, you should always be looking to round out your bench with some insurance.

Sure, there might be a few plug-and-play options out there, but when it comes down to it, playoff-bound owners should have some safe replacement level players available. Think of it as your "break glass in case of emergency." Hopefully you won't need to use them, it's just nice to know you can if you have to.

Deeper PPR Sleepers For Week 12

Byron Marshall - RB, Washington Redskins (0% Owned)

I would imagine this is the first time a player owned in 0% of leagues has ever been listed here. Nevertheless, Byron Marshall should be on your fantasy radar in deeper PPR leagues. The Redskins have been decimated by injuries and with Chris Thompson the latest running back to fall, someone will be filling in for pass-catching duties. Marshall is that guy. Samaje Perine will be handling a majority of the work, but it's Marshall who should benefit most in PPR formats. You won't want to throw him right into the fire by any means, but he's worth scooping up as a desperation stash.

Devontae Booker - RB, Denver Broncos (13% Owned)

The Denver Broncos have struggled offensively yet Devontae Booker has been a small bright spot as of late. Booker totaled 98 yards on 19 touches in Sunday's loss to the Bengals, five of which came on receptions. Booker actually had more yards via the pass than the ground at 54 to 44. He's been outplaying C.J. Anderson and Jamaal Charles has seen his role evaporate. Depending on your roster construction, Booker is actually worthy of a start in Week 12 against the Raiders. It's a risky play for sure, but he's carved out a nice role for himself and has already proven he can produce.

Zay Jones - WR, Buffalo Bills (7% Owned)

With the status of Kelvin Benjamin currently up in the air, Zay Jones has the opportunity to step into a No. 1 receiver role once again. Unfortunately for Jones, he hasn't really done much this season. His best game came this past week, racking up 68 yards on four receptions. Jones only has one touchdown this season so this truly is a deep league flier. At the very least Kelvin Benjamin owners should consider adding Zay just in case Kelvin can't go. This isn't your standard "grab the new top receiver in any format" waiver wire add. This is the very definition of a deep PPR sleeper.

Bruce Ellington - WR, Houston Texans (7% Owned)

Will Fuller's absence has opened the door for Bruce Ellington to step up into the No. 2 receiver role in Houston. Ellington had a season high 63 yards on six receptions this past week, and scored his second touchdown of the year back in Week 10. In fact, Ellington actually had similar numbers to start the year with Fuller out as well. He's a nice complimentary piece in a Texans offense that needs as much help as it can get. Similar to Zay Jones, Ellington is another one of those super deep fliers.

Marquise Goodwin - WR, San Francisco 49ers (15% Owned)

This is a name you would have seen last week had it not been for the 49ers being on a bye. Marquise Goodwin is the de facto No.1 receiver now that Pierre Garcon is done for the year. Goodwin made the most of his newfound role in Week 10's win over the New York Giants, totaling 83 yards and snagging his first score of the season. Despite being the most highly owned player on this week's list, Goodwin is likely to fly under the radar given his recent bye. Still, there's legitimate value here in PPR and standard leagues alike. Quarterback C.J. Beathard has improved and even if he falters, Jimmy Garappolo is on deck. The San Francisco offense might not be as bad as you think so Goodwin should be able to produce.
