BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 25% of Yahoo! Leagues
ANALYSIS: Marcus Semien has missed the majority of the season with a broken wrist, but his recent performance has merited consideration in deeper fantasy formats. Semien is slashing .333/.354/.489 across his last 45 at-bats, with a home run and seven RBI. His patience at the plate this season has been an unexpected bonus for fantasy owners, as his 11% walk rate is a career high and has led to a nice .342 OBP despite a pedestrian .257 batting average. Additionally, Semien has swiped seven bases in only 52 games, although he had the majority of them before his injury. Still, Semien remains a middle-infielder who has both power (27 home runs last year) and speed, a rare combination and one that is not often available on the waiver wire.
Semien is worth the add in 12-team leagues and beyond. His spot in the lineup remains secure (he is primarily hitting second for the A's) and he should have no problem adding a handful of home runs and steals down the stretch.
