DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider
Dallas Keuchel, HOU @ CWS (DK - $11,000, FD - $8,800)
Keuchel is entirely too cheap on FanDuel tonight, and offers a bit of savings compared to the top arms. Since coming back from the DL, his last two starts have not been good. No other way to say it, he has struggled since returning. But tonight he is up against one of the weaker offensive teams, and a spot for him to get back on track. He is facing off against the White Sox who have a 22% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers this year. The White Sox have the fourth fewest runs scored and don't pose a huge threat on offense, which makes Keuchel a viable option for all formats.
Chris Sale, BOS @ TAM (DK - $12,600, FD - $11,400)
With Sale on the bump tonight, it'd be silly not to mention him, as he has been on a CY Young type season so far. Sale comes into this game with a 29.8% strikeout rate vs left-handed hitters, and an insanely high 37% strikeout rate vs right-handed hitters. If you are looking for consistent strikeout stuff, Sale is your guy tonight. He is up against the Rays who have a 25.6% strikeout rate vs left-handed pitchers. Sale has faced Tampa three times so far this year, and he has put up 12 strikeouts in all three games. Not much more to say about him, lock and load.
DFS Infielders to Consider
Manny Pina - C, MIL @ MIN (DK - $2,900, FD - $2,400)
Pina was not in the lineup last night, so he should be set to return behind the plate. Pina comes into this game with a .349 wOBA and only a .103 ISO vs left-handed pitching this season. He may lack the power vs LHP, but he offers a bit of salary relief on a slate with big name arms, and is up against a pitcher who gives up a .339 wOBA or higher to both type of hitters. The Brewers are in a spot to score some runs.
Paul Goldschmidt - 1B, ARI vs LOS (DK - $5,500, FD - $4,500)
Goldschmidt is about as consistent as they come at first base and tonight is no different. He has a .437 wOBA and a .290 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. Monster numbers from the All-Star, who has three multi-hit games over his last six. Always like targeting players in Arizona, as it is one of the best hitters parks in the league.
Neil Walker - 2B, NYM vs TEX (DK - $2,600, FD - $2,700)
Walker is entirely too cheap tonight, as he has a .344 wOBA and a .209 ISO this season vs right-handed pitching. Walker also sports a low 14% strikeout rate vs RHP, and should be considered for any format tonight. Mets may come in as a favorite stack tonight since they are up against a favorite gas can of the DFS community, Andrew Cashner.
Rafael Devers - 3B, BOS @ TAM (DK - $4,300, FD - $3,400)
Talk about first impressions matter. Devers has only been in the bigs for 11 games, and he already has 15 Hits, and 3 HR. He is making a name for himself, is in a spot where he has a very favorable match up. His sample size is small, only 15 games as I mentioned, but he has a .453 wOBA and a .313 ISO vs RHP. Good in any format tonight.
Freddy Galvis - SS, PHI @ ATL (DK - $3,700, FD - $2,700)
If you are a believer in BvP, you want to take a look at Galvis tonight. He has 24 AB vs Julio Teheran, and is sporting a .417 AVG, with only two strikeouts. Some impressive number for a player that cheap. Glavis does hit right-handed pitching pretty well, as he has a .319 wOBA and a .170 ISO this season.
DFS Outfielders to Consider
Clint Frazier - OF, NYY @ TOR (DK - $4,300, FD - $3,000)
Frazier has been batting in the two hole recently and he has a favorable match up in front of him tonight. He has a a .345 wOBA and a .280 ISO this season vs left-handed pitching. Frazier is too cheap on FanDuel tonight, and is up against a pitcher who has been to known to get blown up early, so cheap exposure to the Yankees offense is never a bad thing.
Nomar Mazara - OF, TEX @ NYM (DK - $4,200, FD - $3,200)
Mazara comes into this game with a .341 wOBA and a .207 ISO vs right-handed pitching. Texas is up against Chris Flexen tonight, and he only has six innings pitched so far this season. The Mets call up has given up 8 ER over his two starts, and has a .721 wOBA against left-handed hitters. I realize the sample size is entirely too small to take seriously, but one thing is true, he doesn't look ready for the majors, and Texas hitters should be in for a big game.
Chris Taylor - OF, LOS @ ARI (DK - $5,000, FD - $4,100)
Taylor has is riding a four game hitting streak and has three home runs over his last four games. The guy is hot, and when the best team in baseball goes to a great hitters park, you have to give their players a look. Taylor is sporting a .388 wOBA and a .242 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. He is expensive, but he is putting up big numbers recently, playable in all formats.
