With many of the aces going earlier in the week, there are some lower priced options on the mound as no pitchers on FanDuel are priced over 10,000 and only two reach that mark on DraftKings. That leaves some possibility to squeeze in the most obvious stack of the day, which is the Arizona and Colorado matchup. However, this article will do some deeper digging to point out the values on Thursday's slate and point to the superstars who are worth paying up for.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 6/22/2017. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options, and of course, value plays.

Offensive Stacks
Toronto Blue Jays vs Martin Perez
Stacking right-handers against Perez is a great play tonight, and the Jays have a few obvious plays but also a few under the radar options that are worth playing tonight. With a total set at 10.5, there will certainly be runs scored in this game. Steve Pearce has hit lefties well all season, and although Kevin Pillar is in a slump, he is someone worth considering for some salary relief. Of course, Josh Donaldson is an easy plug and play in this stack.
Oakland Athletics vs David Paulino
This is a more under the radar stack, but with a total of 10, it's worth taking a long look at both the Astros and A's on Thursday. Of course, the obvious stack in this instance is the Astros, but Jesse Hahn has pitched fairly well and has the ability to keep the Astros offense in relative check. Meanwhile, the A's have two solid infielders to play against David Paulino in Ryon Healy and Jed Lowrie. Like Donaldson, Khris Davis is a farily obvious way to finish off this stack.
FanDuel & DraftKings DFS Pitchers
Jaime Garcia - P, vs. SF (DK - $7,500, FD - $8,000)
Alex Wood was an easy choice for Thursday's slate, but after having his start pushed back it's time to pivot to Garcia. The Giants rank in the bottom third in wRC+ against left-handed pitching and are also plenty prone to striking out. That makes Garcia a value, who has shown he is capable of pitching well and racking up strikeouts in the right matchup. Given Carlos Martinez's price tag and struggles on the road, he is a fade for Thursday's slate.
Luis Severino - P, @ LAA (DK - $12,300, FD - $9,800)
Luis Severino has been a revelation this season and he should have a strong chance to continue that tonight as he faces the Troutless Angels. Over the season, the Angels are in the bottom-third in wRC+ against right-handed pitching. The downside is that they aren't prone to strikeouts, which makes Severino more of a cash game play as compared to Wood.
FanDuel & DraftKings DFS Infielders
Tyler Flowers - C, vs. SF (DK - $3,900, FD - $3,100)
Tyler Flowers remains an underrated option at catcher when facing righties, as he has a .911 OPS against them this season. The matchup is also favorable as Matt Cain has a 7.46 ERA on the road and has surrendered an .829 OPS against right-handed hitters.
Joey Gallo - 1B, vs TOR (DK - $3,600, FD - $2,900)
As we all know, Joey Gallo is a boom-bust option and Marcus Stroman isn’t the best matchup. On the other hand, the game will be one of the warmest on the slate meaning the ball should fly out of the park as it has throughout the series. This is a game to get exposure to and Gallo is a relatively cheap player capable of racking up points in a hurry via the long ball.
Jed Lowrie - 2B, vs. HOU (DK - $3,600, FD - $2,700)
Lowrie is another bargain-bin player who needs more recognition for what he has accomplished against right-handed pitching this season as he has posted an .899 OPS. As far as the park, Lowrie has excelled at home as well as he has posted a .938 OPS there this season. That combined with a very solid game total of 10 makes Lowrie a player to target. It’s a little too early to know exactly how to exploit rookie starting pitcher David Paulino of the Astros, but he certainly isn’t someone that needs to be avoided.
Ryon Healy - 3B, vs. HOU (DK - $4,100, FD - $3,200)
Healy won't face a lefty tonight, against whom he has mashed this season, but for the month of June he has been mashing against everybody. He has a 166 wRC+ on the month and is making hard contact 50% of the time. Even though Healy sees a bit of a price spike on DraftKings his recent form has made him worth it.
Didi Gregorius - SS, vs LAA (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,100)
Jesse Chavez is exhibiting reverse platoon splits this season, which presents a nice opportunity to have low ownership in a game that could otherwise be chalky. With a 9.5 total, this game should stick out on the main slate, but the lefties in the Yankees’ lineup should stand out more than righties and thus have higher ownership.
FanDuel & DraftKings DFS Outfielders
Steve Pearce - OF, @ TEX (DK - $4,100, FD - $2,900)
Once again, Draftkings is more in tune with the matchup and context surrounding Pearce on Thursday's slate. First, Pearce will have the same benefit as Gallo of playing in one of the friendlier weather situations on today’s slate. He also has the advantage of facing Martin Perez who has allowed 1.51 HR/9 at home when facing right-handed pitching and 5.25 xFIP in the same scenario. Given that Pearce has a 45% hard contact rate against left-handed pitching, he should be well equipped to take advantage of Perez’s struggles. That makes Pearce a fine play on Draftkings, but an excellent one on Fanduel.
J.D. Martinez - OF, @ SEA (DK - $4,700, FD - $3,900)
Martinez has been quiet of late but that shouldn’t be the case on Thursday when he gets a matchup against Yovani Gallardo. It’s never a bad idea to use Martinez, but when the opposing pitcher has surrendered a .965 OPS to right-handed hitters he becomes an auto-play.
Matt Kemp - OF, vs SF (DK - $4,100, FD - $3,300)
Kemp’s performance has slowly slipped as the season has progressed but the matchup today is too much to ignore as Kemp will have the benefit of facing Matt Cain. The Braves will be an under owned team tonight and given Kemp’s capability of going deep he is a nice play for Thursday’s slate.
