ANALYSIS: Neil Walker is one of those players who bores fantasy owners to death, but his end of the year production always seems to peg him as a worthwhile middle infield option. He has finished between 14-23 home runs each of the last five years, with between 50-70 RBI and around a .270 batting average in each. 2017 looks like more of the same for the 31-year-old, who after a slow start is up to a .263 average with 31 runs, seven home runs and 31 RBI. Walker started the season off slow, but has hit .317/.378/.574 over his last 101 at-bats with five home runs. Walker is on pace for 21 home runs and over 90 RBI and runs scored. Additionally, he should see a slight uptick in batting average as his .285 BABIP is down from the .302 he posted last year, and the .306 from 2015. Expect Walker to finish at or slightly above what he has done for the last few years, which will make him a playable middle infielder in most fantasy formats.
