BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues, Monitor in All Leagues

ANALYSIS: It's an interesting time to be an outfielder for the Phillies. The team has a plethora of options to mix and match and seem to be rolling with whoever has the hot hand, outside of mainstay Odubel Herrera. Recently, it has been German product Aaron Altherr who is swinging the hot stick. In a recent five-game span, Altherr picked up eight hits, homered, scored six times and stole two bases. That kind of all-around production is what he brings to the table when he's on his game. Altherr started similarly hot upon his call-up last season in late July. He collected two homers, 10 RBI, and three steals in his first 10 games. Then, a horrible September sunk his average all the way down to .197 on the year and he was largely forgotten about, especially once the Phils signed Michael Saunders.
Altherr had gone for double digits in HR and SB each of his previous three minor league seasons, so there's plenty to get excited about. He's currently batting .295 with a solid .354 OBP. Altherr has shown the propensity to strikeout nearly 30% of the time over his brief time in the majors, so that's the major downside, along with questions about playing time. If you have space for another outfielder in a relatively deep mixed league, Altherr's upside rivals most other options on the waiver wire.
