BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
OWNED IN: 51% of Yahoo! leagues
ANALYSIS: Manuel Margot was already a preseason breakout candidate due to his excellent speed; he stole at least 30 bases in four different seasons in the minors. Now, it appears we can add power to his list of assets. Margot surprisingly has launched three solo homers in the first nine games for San Diego. He has hit safely in all but two of those games and has a slash line of .343/.395/.686.
Margot also has some variables working in his favor regarding fantasy value. He has been hitting leadoff for the Padres most nights and the #3-4 hitters, Wil Myers and Yangervis Solarte, are as hot as anyone in baseball right now. Margot has scored seven runs already and could keep crossing the plate at a high rate all season long. The one thing he hasn't done yet is steal - he's done so just once so far. The SB production will certainly come, but right now Margot looks to have bonafide five-category potential. He isn't just worth owning in keeper leagues; fantasy owners in all formats need to pay attention and add him wherever possible.
